We hope this little guide will help you plan your adventures here, but be aware, you'll have to return again and again to experience everything. LINKS Dining Historical Culture Rodeos Music Festivals Theaters & Art Galleries Events Explore the Dams If you think you've already tried everything, here are a few recommendations from the locals. Take a dip at the Carlton swimming hole. South of Twisp is one of the best swimming holes on the Methow River. Located in the little town of Carlton, it is just before the bridge on your right. The Carlton Store is a great place to stop to grab a picnic lunch of German sausage dogs and some cold soft drinks. Grab a veggie sandwich at the Mazama Country Store. This charming store offers more than meets the eye. From homemade sandwiches and fresh espresso, to great outdoor gear, it's a good place to stop. Try panning for gold with the kids.
